Earthsave events are a great way to learn more about issues, meet likeminded people, and to try new and delicious foods!
All events are open to members and non-members alike, but if you regularly attend Earthsave events and would like to ensure they continue, either for your benefit or perhaps for that of new people, we'd like to encourage you to visit our join page and consider signing up to be a member. Member financial support is crucial to ensure Earthsave's continued survival.
So, what sort of events do we do?
Our most regular events are our dine-outs. These events enable members and non-members to try plant based menu items, prepared professionally, for a variety of cuisines. They also connect diners up with restaurants that can meet the needs of those seeking to eat lower on the food chain.
Our largest event is our annual Taste of Health, a huge vegetarian showcase of products, restaurants, speakers and cooking demonstrations.
Earthsave also holds bi-monthly potlucks. Participants are not all vegans, but each person must bring a dish with no animal products, so that all those at the various stages of transition towards a plant based diet may partake. These events also feature speakers on topics related to our mission.
Every month or so, Earthsave can be found at community events all over town, staffing information booths, talking to the general public about the consequences of food choices and passing out information. Even if you've already read our literature, make sure to come by and say hello when you see us out and about!
Once or twice a year, Earthsave hosts a well-known speaker to address audiences on issues related to our mission. Past speakers have included Carol Adams, Dr. Neil Barnard, Vesanto Melina, Robert Cohen, Dr. Lester Friedlander and many others.
